| Six Decades, Six Museums - Sixty Years of Israeli Art |

A one-time cooperation between six of Israel's leading museums is giving visitors a unique experience of six Israeli Art exhibitions, each dedicated to one of Israel's six decades of independence.
The project was funded by both governmental and private organizations, and it is a combined initiative by the Ministry of Science Culture & Sport, the Culture Administration, the Department of Museums & Plastic Arts, and all six museum participating. The exhibitions were curated by some of Israel's top curators, and portray a broad perspective and new insights about the vigorous artistic progress during Israel's 60 years of independence.
Each of the exhibitions will be held in a different museum across the country, dedicated to a different decade, and accompanied by an extensive catalogue covering major artistic events and commentaries by the curators. These catalogues are intended to provide viewers with a comprehensive sociological and historical point of view of the story of Israeli art, its uniqueness and its qualities.
Two of the exhibitions will be closing during August, while the other four will be open to public for the next few months.
